In 2016 and 2017 I had the privilege to work with these amazing people of Into the Woods festival. The challenge here was to create a style that would fit this "wild" organization.

Together with my companion from my art collective Chaotic Bastards I worked on the edition of 2016. After performing live art illustration in 2015 we where asked to make the artwork for the next year. We where thrilled as this was a very good opportunity to show them what we're about. My role this period was leading the project, develop the concept, digitalise the artwork for desktop publishing and process it trough all the deliverables. (Digital and print, cups, wristbands, t-shirts, timetable)

In 2017 the project was still going and I was requested to design the new artwork. This time I was leading the whole project from head to toe, as my companion was busy graduating from University. It felt good to be independent and have artistic freedom, because now I had the chance to give everything I got. This year I made two editions. The regular ITW festival and Amsterdam Dance Event. The transition from the muddy and moist forest edition in Amersfoort to the industrial steel and concrete NDSM wharf in Amsterdam was so much fun. Above an image of the two websites. 

Only good words for the guys of the festival organisation. It felt like we where lifting the ideas to the next level by getting to know each other and their vision behind the festival. A personal approach for me is important to expose little details and references in the artwork. Achieving a multi layer design that makes sense.
